Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated nurse to join our team as a Deputy Sister in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Ward Manager in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Ward Manager in leading the team and making decisions related to patient care and unit operations.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes and unit performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues and students.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with experience in neonatal care.
  • Qualifications in neonatal nursing or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-registration experience in a neonatal unit.
  • Experience in leadership and management roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
