Job Overview:

As a Lead Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our students with learning difficulties and disabilities receive the support they need to succeed.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and established learning support department, working closely with experienced teachers and learning support staff to provide individualized support to students in the classroom and support centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective relationships with parents and carers to share information and alleviate anxiety.
  • Deliver Education, Health and Care Plan annual reviews and ensure timely completion of paperwork.
  • Monitor the provision of support and guidance for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Produce and maintain individual learning plans to promote student progress and achievement.
  • Support the ALS management function in the absence of the ALS manager and provide individualized learning support in the classroom and support centre.
  • Work closely with teachers and ALS Manager to ensure that support is appropriate and effective.
  • Assist in the implementation of systems, processes, and procedures relating to learning support.
  • Review and monitor quality processes to ensure service level agreements are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Support College events to promote the Wellbeing service.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to GCSE level 4 or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Good standard of general education.
