Support Worker for Young Adults

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with young adults aged 16 to 25 who have complex learning challenges and care needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized, person-centred care to students with severe and complex learning, social, and communication difficulties.
- Collaborate with the class tutor and other Student Support Assistants to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Support students in developing communication, independence, and engagement skills through various activities and courses.
- Assist with personal care, including medical care and support, and provide physical support as needed.
- Work with students to help them gain greater independence, learn essential life skills, and transition to supported living.
- Experience working with children or young adults with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to use initiative to work independently and flexibly.
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and a passion for helping students reach their full potential.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to form good relationships with students and colleagues.
