Learning Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and person-centred Learning Support Worker to join our team at halow project. As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with learning disabilities in our community-based learning programme, Building Futures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly person-centred 1:1 support to young adults, promoting life skills, independence, social skills, leisure opportunities, educational provision, and community access.
- Report actual or potential safeguarding matters to the Project Worker, Year Leader, Building Futures management team, or Head of Safeguarding without delay.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Due to the physical nature of the programme and community working, a good level of fitness and stamina is required.
- Suitable references.
- Aged 18 and above.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check.
Professional or personal experience of learning disabilities, and experience within a health and social care and/or educational setting is desirable, but we also pride ourselves on a values-based approach and the main skill we are looking for is an ambition to help others.
