About the Role

Halow Project is seeking a highly motivated and person-centred Support Worker to join our team in Guildford and Woking areas. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young adults with learning disabilities in our community-based learning programme, Building Futures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to young adults, promoting life skills, independence, social skills, leisure opportunities, educational provision, and community access.
  • Report safeguarding concerns promptly to the Project Worker, Year Leader, Building Futures management team, or Head of Safeguarding.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical fitness and stamina due to the physical nature of the programme and community working.
  • Suitable references and a willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check.
  • Aged 18 and above and a right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Professional or personal experience of learning disabilities and experience within a health and social care and/or educational setting.
  • Ambition to help others and a values-based approach.
