Support Worker

Halow Project is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Independent Support Worker to join our team. As an Independent Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality support to individuals, helping them to plan their day-to-day lives and achieve their goals.
- Encourage and support individuals with tasks and goals they have set for themselves.
- Record session data and outcomes.
- Flag up any concerns or potential concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Resilience and adaptability are key as this role involves lone working on a 1:1 basis.
- Some personal care and administration of medicine may be required depending on who you are supporting (Full training provided).
- UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle which they are willing to use for work purposes (halow covers towards mileage costs when driving for work purposes).
- Aged 18 and above.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check.
- Professional or personal experience of care work is desirable.
- Ambition to help others.
- Fully paid training, including the industry-recognised Care Certificate.
- Further development opportunities, including Positive Behaviour Support and accredited National Vocational Qualifications.
