Job Summary

This is a senior leadership role within the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy department at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and rehabilitation of adult inpatients with complex needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat complex patients with advanced occupational therapy skills
  • Lead the operational management of the team, ensuring delivery of high-quality person-centered acute rehabilitation
  • Develop and implement evidence-based quality improvement projects
  • Participate in the 7-day acute assessment and rehabilitation service across senior health and medical wards

Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Commitment to advanced clinical and professional development
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Recognised postgraduate qualification (MSc, PG Dip)
  • Leadership training
  • Postgraduate management training
  • Experience in other rehabilitation or acute settings

  • Physically fit and able to comply with Trust Manual Handling Guidelines
  • Remains updated with professional practice and new research
  • Member of relevant specialist interest groups

Working Arrangements
