We are seeking an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer and Child Protection Chair to join our team in Surrey.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work with us in a dynamic and challenging environment. As an Independent Reviewing Officer and Child Protection Chair, you will be responsible for ensuring that children in care receive the best possible support and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for looked-after children and children subject to child protection concerns.
  2. Chair key multi-agency meetings to ensure effective planning and decision-making for children's care and protection.
  3. Provide expert advice and guidance to operational staff on case matters and quality assurance.
  4. Record data and provide regular reports to management and governance bodies.
  5. Adhere to local practice standards for CPC/IROs.
Requirements:
  1. Professional social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  2. Extensive knowledge of child protection and care practice, relevant legislation, and guidance.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of roles and responsibilities of other agencies involved with children.
  4. Ability to travel around the county and work outside normal office hours.
