Job Title: Independent Reviewing Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team at HCRG Workforce Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To chair statutory reviews for children looked after by Islington Council
  • To ensure correct decisions and recommendations are made when planning for children
  • To contribute to improved standards and outcomes for children and their families by providing advice and consultation on all matters relating to children on the cusp of becoming looked after as well as those already looked after
  • To contribute to continuous service improvement by quality assuring the service provided

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of The Care Planning, Placement and Case Review Regulations, 2010, the IRO Handbook, Working Together to Safeguard Children and London Child Protection Procedures
  • Ability to provide constructive challenge where needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
