Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team at Tripod Partners. As an Independent Reviewing Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To chair reviews for children in care, including the associated administrative tasks.
  • To monitor the progression of care plans for allocated children.
  • To attend regular supervision sessions to discuss case progress and receive feedback.
  • To travel as required to conduct reviews and visit children in care across the county and beyond.
  • To identify and escalate any concerns or issues related to care planning.
  • To ensure children in care have the opportunity for an independent review at least annually.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in statutory social work functions, including safeguarding and support.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social work practice.
  • Commitment to promoting social change, safeguarding vulnerable individuals, and maximizing independence.
