Independent Reviewing Officer - Children's Social Work Role

We are seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join our team as an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) for Islington Council's Children's Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent reviewing officer services to children and families in care
  • Conduct thorough and timely reviews of children's care plans
  • Work closely with social workers, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best interests of children are met
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for children

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Children's Social Worker with a strong understanding of the IRO role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
