POSITION SUMMARY
As the Assistant House Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the boarding team, focusing on the health and welfare of our international boarding students. You will support students in their daily activities and serve as the primary contact for boarding-related issues during your shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In your capacity as Assistant House Supervisor, you will:

  • Assist the House Supervisor in their responsibilities, including team management, documentation, and communication of any concerns to senior boarding staff.
  • Take on the responsibilities of the House Supervisor in their absence.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating morning wake-ups for students, overseeing breakfast and registration, and conducting room inspections while completing necessary documentation.
  • Monitoring student welfare and behavior, reporting any issues to the Head of Boarding and Residential Life, and escalating serious concerns to the Rector.
  • Promptly reporting student illnesses to the Health Center and utilizing emergency protocols when necessary.
  • Ensuring the effective operation of the Boarding House in alignment with the student handbook, promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assisting the domestic team in maintaining cleanliness and order in communal areas during evening and weekend shifts.
  • Reporting maintenance issues through the appropriate channels.
  • Managing laundry services for students.
  • Issuing keys/cards as required by the Boarding House.
  • Maintaining a visible presence in the Boarding House during your shifts.
  • Enforcing curfew regulations and completing related documentation.
  • Supporting student arrivals, orientations, and departures as needed.
  • Participating in boarding meetings and training sessions.
  • During Summer School, supervising activities and assisting with excursions as directed.
