Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to residents. Your role will include:

  • Providing comprehensive, resident-centered clinical care.
  • Collaborating effectively with both your immediate team and the broader multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
  • Upholding clinical governance and a strong duty of care.
  • Maintaining and enhancing your own knowledge and that of your colleagues regarding clinical best practices.
  • Demonstrating expertise in tracheostomy and ventilator management, including the ability to identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
  • Establishing and nurturing a professional link-nurse role in areas such as infection control, tissue viability, and continence management, in alignment with the needs of the service.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Familiarity with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

Preferred

  • Experience in a similar clinical setting.
  • Additional qualifications related to nursing practice.
