Role Overview

We are expanding our training team and are seeking a Nurse Trainer. The ideal candidate will possess the enthusiasm and commitment to enhance patient care while embodying Fairlie Healthcare's core values in their daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure exceptional care standards are upheld by evaluating and enhancing the clinical skills of all healthcare staff, including Carers, HCAs, SHCAs, and Nurses.
  • Facilitate professional development in alignment with the organization's core values, ensuring these principles are integrated into everyday care practices.
  • Support the mandatory training framework by collaborating with management to schedule training sessions, maintain accurate training documentation, and promote staff participation.
  • Deliver effective training to assist staff in progressing from Carer to Senior Healthcare Assistant through comprehensive competency assessments in tracheostomy, suctioning, ventilator, and cough assist techniques.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services and Learning & Development Manager to review and enhance competency documentation and training pathways relevant to clinical practices.
  • Ensure that all clinical staff are equipped with the necessary skills and competencies to deliver high-quality care while respecting the privacy and dignity of individuals.
  • Identify and promote learning opportunities essential for the professional growth of all employees, both internally and externally.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven ability to deliver safe and effective patient care.
  • Experience in assessing the Care Certificate is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent record-keeping and self-evaluation capabilities.
