About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fairlie Healthcare Group. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing highly specialized occupational therapy assessment and intervention for residents with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a clinical caseload and ensure residents receive appropriate treatment to a high professional standard, in accordance with the Professional Standards and Code of Ethics of the College of Occupational Therapist (COT).
  • Prepare and deliver resident-centered interventions based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options, using specialist clinical assessment, reasoning skills, and treatment skills.
  • Undertake highly specialist assessments of neurological occupational therapy, including cognitive assessments for PDoC, and use and interpret assessment results for further therapeutic management.

Requirements

  • Experience in providing occupational therapy services to residents with complex needs.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with residents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with residents and caregivers to maximize rehabilitation potential and ensure understanding of condition.
