About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialized SEND school in the Durham area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide support to students with Physical and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with daily classroom duties and provide individual support to students with PMLD needs.
  • Work in a one-to-one setting and small groups to support students' learning and development.
  • Provide personal care and support to students as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in teaching assistance.
  • Experience working with students with PMLD needs.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
