Job Opportunity: Teaching Personnel is excited to offer a guaranteed work scheme for exceptional teachers based in the Darlington and County Durham area.

About the Role: We are seeking experienced SEND Support Staff to support in SEND and SEMH provisions across Primary and Secondary age ranges. The successful candidate will have a compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine commitment to supporting the learning and well-being of SEN students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in SEND and SEMH provisions
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents/carers to ensure seamless support and progress

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development, with a willingness to participate in training provided by the school
  • A positive attitude, adaptability, and resilience in the face of challenges

How it Works:

  • Once you have registered with us and built up good feedback in our client schools, we will discuss how many days you can commit to being free for supply work
