Guaranteed Work Scheme for SEND Support Staff

Teaching Personnel is excited to offer a guaranteed work scheme for exceptional SEND Support Staff based in Darlington and County Durham. This scheme provides educators with a guaranteed income, while retaining the flexibility of supply work.

  • Assurance that you will receive work in schools
  • Guarantees that you will receive income for at least the number of days (less one) that you make yourself available every week under the terms of the scheme
  • Means that you don't have to manage relationships with multiple agencies
  • Minimises your payroll administration and tax issues
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable but not essential
  • A compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine commitment to supporting the learning and well-being of SEN students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development, with a willingness to participate in training provided by the school
  • A positive attitude, adaptability, and resilience in the face of challenges
How it Works
  • Once you have registered with us and built up good feedback in our client schools, we will discuss how many days you can commit to being free for supply work
  • We will guarantee to pay you for every day less one (per week), even if there is no work available
  • In order to be paid for not working, you will need to have fulfilled the terms and conditions of the scheme

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. This may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training.
