Children and Young People Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to join our team in Slough. As an EMHP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health support to children and young people in educational settings.
The successful candidate will have a Graduate Certificate or Postgraduate Certificate qualification as an EMHP and be confident in assessing for and delivering evidence-based low-intensity interventions to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues in Early Help, Social Care, and across the wider system to provide comprehensive support to children and young people. Your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and develop therapeutic relationships will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people in educational settings
- Assess and manage a defined caseload of children and young people presenting with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties
- Provide training to schools' staff, parents, and carers in conjunction with colleagues
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide comprehensive support to children and young people
- Graduate Certificate or Postgraduate Certificate qualification as an EMHP
- Confidence in assessing for and delivering evidence-based low-intensity interventions
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and develop therapeutic relationships
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and across the wider system
