About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to join our team in Slough. As an EMHP, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people in education settings, helping them to overcome mild to moderate mental health problems.

As a member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will work closely with colleagues in Early Help, Social Care, and across the wider system to provide high-quality, outcome-focused care to children and young people. You will also support and facilitate staff in education settings to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of a whole-school approach to emotional health and wellbeing. If you are passionate about early intervention and mental health promotion, and have a calm, friendly, and compassionate outlook, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people in education settings.
  2. Help children and young people who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services.
  3. Support and facilitate staff in education settings to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
  4. Work with and within education environments to afford better access to specialist mental health services.
  5. Provide training to schools' staff, parents, and carers in conjunction with colleagues.
  6. Actively promote the whole-school approach to developing and maintaining emotional health and wellbeing within schools.
