About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our team at Stride Resource Management Ltd. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our SME clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met with professionalism and expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Retention: Assist in achieving client retention targets by providing an excellent level of service, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Renewal Strategy: Liaise effectively with the Account Executive to develop a renewal strategy, attend client meetings as necessary, and action meeting points.
  • Market Exercise: Undertake market exercises to establish the most competitive terms available for our clients.
  • Renewal Documentation: Obtain renewal terms, present to clients, and issue renewal documentation in line with contract certainty.
  • Premium Collection: Ensure premiums are collected prior to the commencement of cover and in line with procedures.
  • Client Queries: Handle all client queries, whether written or verbal, in a professional manner and process effectively in line with service standards.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Record all relevant information, correspondence, and documentation on Acturis and make effective use of the diary system.
  • Adjustments and Notifications: Process adjustments in line with procedures, including notification to insurers, issue of revised documentation, and collection of additional premium.
  • Inter-Branch Collaboration: Liaise with and assist other branches and Group Resources as necessary.
Requirements
  • Insurance Knowledge: Working knowledge of all the main classes of General Insurance and the CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience dealing with SME or commercial clients.
  • Technical Skills: Good level of technical insurance skills, to be assessed by regular in-house testing.
  • Client Service Skills: Excellent client service skills, with the ability to gather and analyze information from clients.
  • Negotiation and Broking Skills: Good negotiation and broking skills, with the ability to identify and respond appropriately to an individual client's level of understanding.
