Highways Project Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Marlborough Highways Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating teams of directly employed and subcontract labour and staff across our North London contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safe running of sites and monitor the implementation and control of safe working procedures.
- Prepare, implement, and review risk assessments and method statements to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including clients and depot staff.
- Manage and report on vehicle defects in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for health & safety & environmental inspections in line with company requirements.
- Programme and resource all works for the contracts operating from all areas of operations.
- Minimise cost of works through correct programming and utilisation of labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors.
- Identify variations to the contract through work records and site measurements and instigate the change management process.
- Monitor and provide records of all items of work, including day works, and ensure accurate payment.
- Verify drawings, site instructions, work orders, and contract documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Take off material for procurement in accordance with the contract programme.
- Enter labour, plant, and material costings onto the computerised works management system in line with the monthly commercial management process.
- Oversee the collection of measurement information to enable the works to be valued.
Previous experience in highways is essential. We are looking for a skilled and experienced professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
