About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional in payroll and pensions to join our client, a large-scale public sector entity, as an Interim Head of Payroll and Pensions. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of payroll and pension processes, legislation, and regulations, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee all payroll and pension operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  2. Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals, promoting a positive and supportive work environment that fosters collaboration and innovation.
  3. Develop and implement payroll and pension strategies to support the organisation's goals and objectives.
  4. Ensure all payroll and pension processes are efficient, streamlined, and aligned with best practices.
  5. Handle complex payroll and pension queries, providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders.
  6. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication.
  7. Ensure regular reporting and analysis of payroll and pension data, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  8. Work closely with other departments to ensure the integration of payroll and pension processes, promoting a cohesive and efficient organisational culture.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A strong background in payroll and pensions within a large-scale organisation, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  2. Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  3. Excellent knowledge of payroll and pension legislation and regulations, with the ability to stay up-to-date with changes and developments.

What We Offer

  1. A competitive daily rate of GBP 270 to GBP 330.
  2. An interim contract lasting a couple of months, with the opportunity to apply for further longer-term employment towards the end of the year.
