Join NatWest as a Product Owner - Lending

  • Collaborate closely with your Product Manager and various mission teams in a cooperative manner to ensure the Lending product is delivered punctually, within budget, and aligns with customer expectations.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and project engagement with both internal and external stakeholders that contribute to our Lending process.
  • Partner with our technical teams to translate these requirements into Epics for the appropriate development team.
Key Responsibilities

As a Product Owner, you will be part of an agile product team focused on enhancing our Banking-as-a-Service Lending offerings, developing products and services that resonate with our Banking-as-a-Service clients and their customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the product backlog and prioritizing features for your designated team.
  • Decomposing Epics into detailed user stories and feature specifications in JIRA for the team to implement (including story, acceptance criteria, and scenarios).
  • Creating thorough collateral and documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring rigorous testing, quality assurance, and governance before product launch.
Required Skills

To excel in this role, you should have prior experience working in a Scrum or Agile environment. You must possess the ability to innovate, collaborate, and partner with customers and colleagues to deliver the optimal digital experience for our clients. Experience with traditional retail lending products such as Personal Loans, Overdrafts, Credit Cards, or Mortgages would be advantageous.

Additionally, you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience as a product owner, product manager, or a similar role in a Banking-as-a-Service or software development context.
  • A strong customer-centric approach and a problem-solving mindset, with a proven ability to manage multiple dependencies across various internal and external teams.
  • A technical background with a solid understanding of lending products.
  • Experience in defining minimum marketable features and minimum viable products.
