Whatyou'll do

As a Middle Office Manager, you’ll beassessing merchant applications at onboarding within our financialcrime and credit appetite in line with approved merchantcategories. We’ll look to you to acquire frameworks, models andtools to provide insight, and actively challenge risk appetiteparameters, validate assumptions and identify newopportunities.

Day-to-day,you’ll be:

  • Delivering an automateddecision making process for a decision framework based on data,insights and risk appetite
  • Managing the dailymerchant application queue to make sure they’re assessed andapproved within SLA
  • Tracking the applicationprocess to make sure deadlines are met and coordinating anyescalations
  • Championing automated decisionmaking and supporting the strategy for delivering a fully automatedprocess for merchants
  • Identifying trainingopportunities and working with the training team and businessmanagement to implementtraining

Theskills you'll need

We’re looking for someone withan understanding of unsecured lending products and merchantacquiring. You’ll bring strong communication skills, with theability to convey issues and technical information to seniormanagement and influence keystakeholders.

Additionally,you’ll demonstrate:

  • Experience ineither a financial crime or credit risk analysisrole
  • Exposure to payments products, processesand risks
  • Excellent analytical skills,including interpreting data andtrends
  • Experience of providing insight andchallenging appetite and processes whereappropriate
  • The ability to drive change toenable continuousimprovement
