Position Overview:

The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) is dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare as a fundamental right.

Collaborating with over 14,000 members and partners, we strive to enhance sexual and reproductive health standards for all individuals.

As a leading organization in the field, the FSRH represents healthcare professionals engaged in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) across various community and primary care settings.

Our diverse membership includes specialists in SRH, general practitioners, nurses, midwives, and pharmacists.

As a professional membership organization, we establish clinical guidelines and standards, offer training and continuous education, and advocate for safe and effective sexual and reproductive healthcare throughout the lifespan.

The External Affairs Team at FSRH plays a crucial role in shaping policy and practice through evidence-based advocacy, while also raising public awareness regarding SRH rights.

Our objectives include developing impactful policies, forging partnerships to enhance our advocacy efforts, and managing external communications, including media relations, to promote the goals outlined in the FSRH's strategic vision.

Role Responsibilities:

This position is vital in supporting the External Affairs team in producing and developing key outputs. The role primarily involves engaging in policy work, advocacy, and public affairs activities, ensuring that the FSRH's strategic vision is realized to enhance reproductive healthcare for all.

Additionally, the role will assist the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) with its initiatives.

We seek a motivated individual with a keen interest in healthcare policy and a commitment to societal improvement.

Desirable qualifications include experience in policy, public affairs, and campaigning, along with familiarity in project-based environments.

Strong writing skills are essential, complemented by a comprehensive understanding of communication strategies to effectively engage policymakers on critical issues faced by clinicians and the public.
