Position Overview:

We are in search of unqualified support assistants to become part of our committed team. While formal qualifications are not mandatory, we are looking for individuals who have a sincere passion for working with children, especially those with special educational needs. The role entails assisting both primary and secondary age students in their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for students with special educational needs.
  • Provide personalized support to students in small groups or one-on-one during classroom activities.
  • Support educators in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective support network for students.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with children, such as in a support or care role.
  • Personal experience with special educational needs is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, empathy, and a commitment to the growth and well-being of students.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.

Application Requirements:

All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in accordance with our stringent safeguarding policy.

  • Your CV should cover the last 10 years of employment history where applicable, and all employment gaps must be explained.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • You must be willing to attend a registration interview.

All pay rates quoted will include 14.33% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for permanent placement in the future.

Spencer Clarke Group collaborates with a diverse range of schools across a wide geographical area, providing teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Educational Needs, and college levels, as well as support staff roles within these settings.

Pay: From £96.00 per day
