About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary school in Southport. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and pupils in KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in managing behaviour and delivering lessons
  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one and group basis to complete tasks and activities
  • Assist with SEN department tasks and support pupils with special educational needs
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 3)
  • Have previous experience working with children within the last 2 years
  • Two references for work within a school/with children
  • Experience supporting SEN pupils
