About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist environment that caters to students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to provide tailored support, ensuring students receive the individual attention they need to succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with additional needs
  • Help to implement learning plans, EHCPs, and behaviour management strategies
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour, promoting a positive learning environment
  • Encourage social interaction and independence among pupils
  • Monitor and record student progress, contributing to assessment and reviews

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within an SEND or school setting
  • A calm, patient, and positive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable but not essential)
  • A DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
