Job Overview

Position: Senior IT Support Engineer

Compensation: up to £55,000, plus performance bonus

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 4 Days In-Office, 1 Day Remote

Fruition IT is actively seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer to enhance the growing Service Desk team within a prestigious Syndicate of the Lloyds of London insurance sector. This organization, located in central London, is undergoing significant technological advancements and has expanded its technical teams throughout the year.

As part of the support team expansion, the Senior IT Support Engineer will be responsible for delivering exceptional, customer-centric support services. This role involves managing incident and service requests while adhering to established KPIs and SLAs. The Senior Engineer will also mentor junior Service Desk staff and contribute to the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the Service Desk, collaborating closely with the Service Desk Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with business users to troubleshoot and resolve intricate incidents and requests
  • Providing process improvement recommendations to the Service Desk Manager
  • Conducting daily IT system checks
  • Promoting cross-departmental collaboration and effective communication

Opportunities for Involvement:

  • Overseeing small-scale IT projects, including hardware upgrades and software testing
  • Facilitating the transition of new large-scale projects/services into business-as-usual support
  • Managing IT assets and hardware inventory

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in at least a 2nd line IT Support role
  • Technical proficiency with a Microsoft technology stack

(Windows, Azure, Intune, 365, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange)

  • Experience in the insurance or financial services sectors
  • Ability to be proactive and organized in a service desk environment, serving as a reliable resource for training and supporting junior team members
  • Strong analytical skills
