Job Summary

As a Senior Technical Specialist at Ørsted A/S, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical leadership and direction for our offshore wind projects. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing technical readiness and installability for offshore installation, as well as commissioning and fabrication, to ensure the successful execution and installation of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical oversight and sign-off for large-scale offshore wind projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Installation Technology Strategy: Formulate and define installation technology strategy with stakeholder input and executive committee approval, driving innovation and strategic development for new global market entry.
  • Technical Solutions Validation: Validate technical solutions in challenge and gate review sessions to support sound business decisions, providing technical information necessary to inform business decisions.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with a global team of specialists and senior leads to drive innovation, ensure technical excellence for installation and execution, and provide strategic technical leadership for offshore wind projects.
  • Discipline Technical Authority: Nominate discipline technical authority where relevant and ensure close collaboration and development of senior lead specialists under construction.
Requirements
  • Technical Leadership Experience: Strong technical leadership experience in offshore wind projects, with a proven track record of successful project installation experience.
  • Project Installation Experience: Comprehensive knowledge from international projects, as well as direct experience across all stages of large-scale offshore infrastructure construction projects.
  • Collaborative Stakeholder Management: Exceptional proficiency in collaborative stakeholder management, adeptly building connections between teams with an empathetic and inclusive approach.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving abilities in dynamic and complex environments, with a proactive and methodical approach towards work tasks.
