Join our dynamic Risk and Compliance team at AXA Group, where we are focused on enhancing our conduct and compliance initiatives. We are seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to deliver expert regulatory compliance guidance and technical leadership.

In this pivotal role, you will promote the exchange of best practices and insights within the Compliance team. You will assist the Head of Compliance in shaping the strategy and direction of compliance efforts across AXA Group, influencing the business culture through regulatory insights and constructive challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Compliance leadership to define the strategy and direction of compliance initiatives across AXA Group, influencing business culture by identifying unacceptable levels of exposure.
  • Implement compliance and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures throughout our Retail and Commercial sectors.
  • Participate in relevant AXA Insurance committees, supporting the reporting of compliance and regulatory issues while providing insights on key regulatory risks and challenges.
  • Guide and support our first line in governance and regulation, ensuring they understand and fulfill their regulatory obligations, collaborating with Conduct Risk colleagues on significant AXA Insurance projects.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance in managing AXA's relationship with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and high-quality responses to regulators while consistently meeting expectations.
  • Engage in key industry forums and advocacy efforts to safeguard and align the interests of AXA Group.

Candidate Profile

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of General Insurance and Financial Services.
  • Significant experience in regulatory compliance, with a background in legal and/or risk management preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a senior compliance position.
  • In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations, guidance, and practices, particularly regarding conduct of business and systems and controls requirements.
  • Experience in FCA supervision activities.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adhere to defined standards, practices, and timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As a prerequisite for employment in this role, candidates must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
