Role Overview

In this pivotal role, you will deliver proactive, business-oriented leadership to the kitchen brigade while overseeing their daily operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation of outstanding culinary offerings within budget across various dining venues, including a Restaurant, Bar, Café, Staff Dining, and Event Catering.
  • Ensure meticulous planning of food costs in alignment with established budgets.
  • Manage procurement of all food items, utilizing approved suppliers to guarantee the highest quality ingredients.
  • Plan staffing needs to maintain an efficient and effective kitchen operation within payroll constraints.
  • Collaborate with management regarding staffing and food quality standards.
  • Adhere to all company and legal requirements concerning food hygiene, working closely with kitchen support staff as necessary.
  • Provide clear recipes and guidelines to facilitate the preparation of standard dishes.
  • Handle all personnel-related matters, including recruitment, scheduling, communication, performance management, motivation, and training.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in a luxury hospitality environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A genuine passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to high standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene, health and safety regulations, and relevant audits.
  • A strong desire to create dishes of exceptional quality and presentation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving demands of the business.
