Leisure Centre Manager

Leeds City Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Officer to join our team at the Leisure Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management, Health and Safety, supervision, and coordination of the Leisure Centre and its programs and associated activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the day-to-day management of the Leisure Centre, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Assist in administrative duties, including recording income, sales, attendance, and associated records.
- Undertake miscellaneous duties, including reception work, life guarding, cleaning, coaching, and instruction as required.
- Support training programs in conjunction with colleagues and managers.
- Act as a key holder and be available for emergency call-out as necessary.
- Effectively manage budgets in accordance with Leeds City Council's Financial Regulations.
- Undertake accountabilities of the post in accordance with council policies, including Safeguarding of Young People and Vulnerable Adults, Equality and Diversity, and Health & Safety policies.
- Experience of leisure facility management.
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems and their application to a leisure environment.
- Ability to work to accounting and financial procedures.
- Ability to use computer systems.
- Willingness to change shifts when necessary.
- Ability to understand and observe Leeds City Council equality and diversity policies.
- Carry out all duties having regard to an employee's responsibility under Health and Safety Policies.
