About Us:
The University of Reading's School of Agriculture, Policy and Development is seeking to hire a Marketing Coordinator.

Renowned for its academic excellence and research initiatives, the School encompasses a wide array of disciplines, including crop and animal science, international development, sustainable land management, agrifood economics, and marketing. The School prides itself on its diverse community, welcoming students and staff from over 80 countries.

The Role:
In collaboration with the Marketing, Communications, and Media Manager, you will assist in coordinating various marketing and event initiatives aimed at enhancing the School's visibility and supporting student recruitment efforts.

Your contributions will be essential in managing all facets of our marketing endeavors, which include: promotional activities and events, the enhancement of our internal and external profiles, content creation for various digital and traditional platforms, and participation in the development of our ongoing marketing strategy.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a genuine enthusiasm for marketing and communications and has:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills evidenced by your previous achievements
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to support daily operations and event coordination
  • The capability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
  • A collaborative spirit, thriving both in team settings and independently
  • Proficient administrative, organizational, and IT skills, with a willingness to engage with new technologies
  • Relevant work experience in a marketing capacity
  • A strong desire to learn and grow in the role
