Field Operations Manager
This Field Operations Manager will report to the Project Supervisor and will be part of UK Power Networks Services - Airports. You will be a permanent member of our team.

Job Purpose
As a Field Operations Manager, you will be an integral part of our Project Team responsible for executing significant electrical and civil construction projects. Your role will involve overseeing the construction activities from initiation to completion, serving as the primary contact for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of site personnel and subcontractors.
- Develop and enforce safety documentation including Health and Safety Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Conduct site inductions for new personnel.
- Identify and address training needs for site staff.
- Engage with clients through audits and progress meetings.
- Manage material procurement using digital systems.
- Report any site variations or issues to the line manager.
- Compile documentation and records for project handover.
- Issue all necessary construction permits.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support the Project Supervisor in maintaining strong client relationships.
- Adhere to the guidelines in Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Promote safety and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Identify and mitigate hazards on site.
- Possess relevant safety qualifications.
- Complete timesheets and expense reports accurately and on time.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions.
- Provide guidance to contractors and team members.
Qualifications - Essential
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in operational construction management.
- A minimum of five years of verifiable work history.
- A clear criminal record.
- The ability to obtain necessary security passes.
- Medical and drug screening clearance.
- A valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of the electrical distribution network.
- Willingness to work in confined spaces.
- Certification or willingness to be trained in scaffold erection.
- Compliance with operational procedures related to health, safety, quality, and the environment.
- A construction qualification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of current health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
As a manager, you will hold both legal and company responsibilities for ensuring the health and safety of your team and any individuals affected by the work. This includes providing clear guidance and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
