Key Responsibilities:
Your expertise in project and programme management will be essential, particularly in reporting through various formats, including dashboards, while establishing robust relationships.

You will leverage your skills to foster collaboration within the team, ensuring a unified programmatic strategy for setting, tracking, and overseeing the execution of the business plan.

Beyond the immediate team, you will cultivate a network of senior leaders across the public sector, working collectively to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact projects aligned with our vision:
'To be the premier commercial function in the UK'.

Reporting Structure:
You will report directly to the Programme and Reporting Manager, aiding in the effective planning, management, and execution of the team's initiatives, ensuring they align with strategic priorities and timelines.

Operational Duties:
In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate the successful management of programmes within the SCSO portfolio, ensuring effective and efficient management processes.
  • Utilize formalized project methodologies within the portfolio, applying recognized project management practices in accordance with GovS 002.
  • Coordinate timely and accurate reporting within the portfolio, keeping stakeholders informed of project and programme progress.
  • Implement and uphold quality control and assurance measures throughout project lifecycles.
  • Conduct regular stand-ups and planning sessions, ensuring team outputs align with organizational objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare briefing materials, including updates, progress reports, and governance board documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement and development of all PMO processes, leveraging available technology, particularly Jira and Power BI.
  • Manage governance arrangements, including weekly team meetings, producing minutes, and organizing board packs.
  • Assist and lead, where appropriate, in establishing new projects and all associated processes, including monitoring and reporting.
