We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Commercial Energy Policy. This is a pivotal role that will play a key part in shaping the policy that delivers a greener, fairer energy system for the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and drive the development of policy initiatives and strategies that support Ofgem's goals.
- Collaborate closely with other teams, industry experts, and stakeholders to ensure the effective execution of policy recommendations.
- Provide visible and effective leadership for the delivery of ED and Cross Sector Policy at all phases of the RIIO-3 and ED3 programmes.
- Develop and present policy papers, briefings, and presentations to senior leaders across Ofgem.
- Manage the input of relevant analytical, technical, and legal experts to present policy recommendations.
- Proven aptitude for leadership and significant experience in leading the policy development process.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively communicate complex policy issues to non-expert audiences.
- Ability to build effective relationships with teams and stakeholders, fostering an inclusive culture that celebrates diverse voices and experiences.
