Job Title: Renewable Energy Project Manager

European Energy is a leading green energy company driving growth and innovation in the renewable energy sector. We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to join our UK team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to manage utility-scale solar (PV) projects in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects from structuring to construction, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of health and safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project development, including securing planning consent, grid/land agreements, and defining offtake and financing strategies
  • Lead project teams, including engineers, designers, contractors, and the risk team, to ensure successful project delivery
  • Drive EPC activities and deliverables, chair regular team meetings, and ensure minutes and actions are issued
  • Manage financial aspects of projects, including approvals of invoices and construction costs
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, identify risks, and meet contractors
  • Ensure compliance with permits, land leases, grid connection, finance, off-taker, and other agreements
  • Prepare and submit reports as required by project agreements, including progress, CAPEX, risks, and HSE
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of project management, ideally with grid-connected solar projects during the construction phase
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK and to our head office in Denmark periodically
