About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team on the Children's Ward at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our young patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support and work alongside nursing staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring the needs of patients are met.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Health or Health and Social Care, or working towards.
  • One year's experience working with children and the general public.
  • Basic understanding of normal child development.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
