Job Title: 2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Job Summary:

Latcom plc is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team as a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing technical support to end-users and contributing to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of the network's hardware, software, infrastructure, and end-user systems.
  • Assist with IT network and systems issues, providing remote monitoring and on-site system support as needed.
  • Support the EPOS, ticketing, and telephone system applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Monitor IT security and support the administration functions, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of company data.
  • Support a number of IT projects, upgrades, and change programs, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Ensure backups are working correctly, and manage Spam/Anti-virus systems to prevent security breaches.
  • Perform other duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the IT department.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of IT support experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with end-users, colleagues, and management.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10/Windows 11, Active Directory, and Microsoft Desktop OS.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including MS Teams, and Wi-Fi in a commercial environment.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to work on-call and provide out-of-hours support as needed.
