About the Role

We are seeking two Specialist ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to join our Advocacy team at Respond. The role involves providing proactive emotional, practical, and advocacy support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic individuals who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging with the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support to clients
  • Work in partnership with other London sexual violence support services
  • Build trusting relationships with clients and support them to heal following sexual abuse
  • Develop coping capacity and empower clients to work through trauma
  • Engage with a wider range of people who have experienced sexual violence and other barriers to justice
Requirements
  • A friendly and relational approach to working with clients
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and work in an empowering and inclusive way
  • Self-motivated individual with a passion for advocacy and supporting clients to heal
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and autistic individuals
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and the impact of trauma on individuals and communities
