We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Maternal Mental Health Services Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the implementation of new services and initiatives that promote the delivery of trauma-informed care in maternity settings.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of Maternal Mental Health Services (MMHS) in collaboration with service users, local communities, and healthcare professionals.
- Provide staff support, training, and consultation to increase awareness about the impact of trauma and loss on women's mental health and maternity experience.
- Coordinate practice across multiple clinical areas to ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care.
- Represent MMHS within the Local Maternity System (LMNS) and ensure that service developments and delivery are aligned with wider maternity transformations.
- Maintain an overview of standards of care and instigate remedial action if necessary.
- Work with the MMHS team, department midwifery staff, and allied health professionals to assess clinical skills and develop programs to address deficits.
- Lead on mental health initiatives in maternity, ensuring compliance with Trust and NHS policies.
- Post-registration experience working in a mental health setting.
- Evidence of professional development and mental health training.
- Evidence of implementing new policies and/or service developments.
- Trauma-informed care training or equivalent.
- Teaching or evidence of supporting multidisciplinary team training.
