About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate midwife to join our team as part of our Return to Practice program. As a midwife, you will provide exceptional patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based care and support to patients throughout pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of midwifery practice.
  • Contribute to the continuing development of professional midwifery practice in the department.
  • Work within the remit of the NMC Code of Conduct.

What We Offer

We are committed to supporting your return to midwifery practice, offering a seconded route into your return to practice with the NMC. As a Band 3 Maternity Support Worker, you will refresh your skills and confidence, supported by our teams. You will be supported to apply for a place on one of the Return to Practice courses, hosted by a variety of universities. Whilst you are on the programme, you will work as a student nurse or midwife, with the support of a Practice Assessor. On successful completion of the programme and return of your NMC PIN, you will convert to a Band 5 preceptee midwife.

Person Specification

  • Previously fully NMC Registered.
  • Maths/English GCSE or above.
  • Passionate about returning to midwifery.
