About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate midwife to return to practice with us at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a returner, you will have the opportunity to refresh your skills and confidence in a supportive environment, working alongside our experienced teams.
Key Responsibilities
As a midwife returner, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care. You will also have the opportunity to develop and maintain your specialist knowledge of midwifery practice, reflecting the Oxford Model for Exemplary Professional and Nursing and Midwifery Practice.
Support and Development
We are committed to supporting your return to practice, offering a seconded route into your return to practice with the NMC. You will be supported to apply for a place on one of the Return to Practice courses, hosted by a variety of universities, and will work as a student nurse or midwife with the support of a Practice Assessor. On successful completion of the programme, you will convert to a Band 5 preceptee midwife and receive a full preceptorship programme.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about returning to midwifery, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Essential criteria include previous full NMC registration, maths and English GCSE or above, and a passion for midwifery. Desirable criteria include NIPE training and previous experience as a midwife.
