Job Summary

We are committed to supporting you in returning to your midwifery career at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a midwife, you will provide exceptional patient care, communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, and develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include providing care and advice to patients throughout pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period. You will also communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and colleagues, and develop and maintain specialist knowledge of midwifery practice.

What We Offer

We offer a seconded route into your return to practice with the NMC, with the opportunity to work as a Band 3 Maternity Support Worker and refresh your skills and confidence. You will also be supported to apply for a place on a Return to Practice course, hosted by a variety of universities, and will work as a student nurse or midwife with the support of a Practice Assessor.

Person Specification

We are looking for a midwife who is passionate about returning to the profession, with previous NMC registration and maths/English GCSE or above. NIPE training and previous experience as a midwife are desirable.
