About the Role

We are committed to supporting midwives who have previously held an NMC PIN to return to their career. Our Return to Practice program offers a seconded route into midwifery practice, allowing you to refresh your skills and confidence while working as a Band 3 Maternity Support Worker.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care underpinned by evidence-based practice and OUH values.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of midwifery practice relevant to the clinical area.
  • Contribute to the continuing development of professional midwifery practice in the department.

Person Specification

  • Previously fully NMC Registered.
  • Maths/English GCSE or above.
  • Passionate about returning to midwifery.

What We Offer

We will pay for your university fees and continue to pay you as a Band 3 while you train. You will have access to role-specific training, both in-person and online learning, and a full preceptorship program on re-entry to the register.

Eligibility

This job is not eligible for International Educated Midwives seeking an NMC PIN.
