Team Overview

Our Business Services division is a dynamic group of innovative, strategic thinkers dedicated to empowering business success. The collective efforts of the People & Culture, Marketing & Communications, IT, Operations, Finance, and Quality & Risk Management teams are focused on equipping Forvis Mazars with the essential tools, technologies, strategies, and services necessary to deliver outstanding client service and ensure the sustainability of our expanding operations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Facilitating the execution of the Employee Relations (ER) strategy in a fair, unbiased, and consistent manner to foster a proactive and effective ER culture. Collaborating closely with the ER Manager and People & Culture Advisory team to address ER casework and inquiries, employing risk assessment and foresight to preemptively identify potential challenges and implement preventative strategies.
  • Serving as the primary resource for HR policy and ER advisory inquiries, promoting early resolution of ER challenges.
  • Building robust relationships with key stakeholders to advance the ER agenda while enhancing management's understanding of essential ER and policy standards.
  • Effectively managing all types of ER cases, balancing employee wellbeing with business needs to determine the most appropriate course of action.
  • Providing current UK Employment Law guidance to managers and partners, thereby minimizing legal risks to the organization.
  • Equipping team members with comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law practices as relevant.
  • Taking a leading role alongside HR Business Partners in consultation and restructuring initiatives, advising on redundancy processes, consultation meetings, and ensuring that affected employees are informed of their rights and entitlements during at-risk situations.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports on HR/ER activities, identifying areas of concern, and collaborating with the relevant People & Culture team member to implement corrective measures.
  • Proactively enhancing the management capabilities of line managers through the design and delivery of HR management training sessions.
  • Participating in the review and revision of HR policies, guidelines, and documentation as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in change management, including reorganizations, restructuring, acquisitions, and TUPE within a multi-site environment.
  • Proven track record in managing complex ER issues across various levels and sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law, supported by academic qualifications, extensive experience, and a commitment to ongoing personal development.
  • Strong relationship management capabilities, with negotiation and influencing skills to effectively handle challenging individuals and achieve constructive outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in report writing and presentations, strong analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to convey the advantages of effective ER in a manner that translates into tangible business outcomes.
  • Interest in technology, creativity, and innovation, with experience in data analytics and the ability to derive insights from systems and tools.
  • A strong communicator and influencer who takes the time to understand the needs of key stakeholders and clients, taking appropriate actions to support the strategic objectives of the organization.
