About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at Grafton Recruitment. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in delivering an operationally focused HR service, providing expert advice and support while managing employee relations cases.
Main Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations
- Ensure timely, fair, and consistent handling of HR matters in accordance with legal and company requirements.
- Facilitate managers in addressing Employee Relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary actions, absence management, and capability investigations/hearings.
- Develop and maintain robust casework recording and reporting systems linked to our HR system.
- Minimize the risk of Employment Tribunals through effective case management.
- Set direction, establish performance measures, and monitor service quality from indemnity insurers.
- Coach and mentor managers to enhance their people management skills.
- Team Management:
- Act as Deputy in the absence of the Head of HR when HR advice is required.
- Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Requirements:
- A can-do attitude and the ability to hit the ground running.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
