Leeds, Leeds, United Kingdom Gleeson Recruitment Group Full time
Position Overview

Are you a skilled Human Resources Specialist with a strong focus on Employee Relations, seeking a role that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work primarily from home?

Gleeson Recruitment Group is on the lookout for a dedicated and proficient individual to join our team as an Employee Relations Specialist. This position is predominantly remote, with occasional travel required within the North West region of the UK. We are particularly interested in candidates located in areas such as Leeds, York, Doncaster, Hull, or nearby locations to ensure accessibility to various sites as needed.

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will report directly to the Senior People Partner and your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your own portfolio of employee relations cases (approximately 20 cases on average), providing expert HR advice and support to management.
  • Identifying and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with the organization's goals.
  • Designing and delivering training initiatives aimed at improving employee performance and engagement.
  • Overseeing employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievance handling, performance management, and both short-term and long-term absence management.
  • Assisting in the recruitment process by conducting interviews and offering constructive feedback to hiring managers.

This role encompasses a regional focus within the North West of the UK, with minimal travel requirements (less than once a month).

We are seeking experienced HR professionals who have a proven track record of independently managing employee relations cases. A comprehensive understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practices is essential, along with exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

You will utilize HR Management Information to identify trends, such as absenteeism, and collaborate with managers and the broader HR team to fulfill the overall people strategy. Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in supporting and training managers at all levels are crucial for success in this role.

Employee Benefits:

  • 28-30 days of annual leave plus public holidays.
  • Enhanced leave policies for maternity, paternity, and adoption.
  • 6% employer contribution to pension plans.
  • Life insurance coverage.
  • Flexible working arrangements to promote a healthy work/life balance.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development and training.
  • A chance to work for an organization that prioritizes employee growth and development.
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture.

If you are a motivated and experienced HR professional looking for a rewarding opportunity that allows for significant remote work, we encourage you to consider this position.
